Four year Community colleges and Universities offer Bachelor degree programs in many categories such as art and design, business, education, health care, nursing, technology, criminal justice and engineering. A typical four-year degree program usually includes such elements as the successful completion of a minimum number of credits and a GPA of at least 2.00. Also completing general education in the liberal arts and science (which would include courses in the arts and humanities, mathematics, natural and social science, and possibly a foreign language.
The successful completion of courses, semester hours given to a chosen major. Combine this with enough elective courses to complete the required number of semester hours for graduation.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Typically awarded for successful completion of a liberal arts curriculum with a concentration in the humanities.
Bachelor of Science (BS) Typically awarded for successful completion of a liberal arts curriculum with a concentration in the physical sciences.
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) A specialized degree typically awarded for successful completion of a liberal arts curriculum with a concentration in business.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) A specialized degree typically awarded for successful completion of a liberal arts curriculum with a concentration in the fine arts.
Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT). A specialized degree typically awarded for successful completion of a liberal arts curriculum with a concentration in the business, communication and management (vs. scientific and technological) aspects of computer science.
